As part of my ‘day job’ I happen to admin the better part of a dozen or more servers that run varying traffic levels from under a mbit to the monster cluster which does about 60mbit for a single domain alone (it runs multiple domains, just that that one is a monster)…
Well, turns out that a power supply can kill a raid card and a raid1 array… at the same time… sigh, lets hope my backup solution hasn’t failed on me in the process… sitting here waiting for the server to upgrade its installed apps and going insane in general. To those out there who trust their hdd’s, think again and do a regular backup, I just lost a hardware raid1 array and im ready to start yelling at people even though its noone’s fault… sigh anyway, back to actual work, venting accomplishedSimilar Posts:
